We each provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families who are seeking some kind of change in their personal experience or significant relationships. We also consult to agencies, family businesses, and other organizations that wish to resolve interpersonal struggles or to implement our systemic ideas. Central to all of our professional interests and pursuits is our respect for the integrity, sensibility, and possibilities of those with whom we are working. We practice, always, with a curiosity about relationships and a commitment to helping them change.
Our name—Context Consultants—reflects our recognition that you can only make sense of experiences and situations if you have a thorough appreciation of the context within which they are playing out. Significant change—change that matters, change that endures, change that ripples inward and outward—always involves a shift in context, a shift in the meaning and relationships that define and constitute those experiences and situations.
We offer—individually and sometimes together—professional workshops and trainings locally, nationally, and internationally on a variety of topics, from hypnosis and hypnotherapy, meditation, suicide assessment, and equine-assisted family therapy, to brief therapy, couples therapy, brief sex therapy, spirituality, and writing. This may seem like a diverse set of interests, but for us, they are all intriguingly connected.
